The Seniors Tennis Association of the North Shore (STANS) is a vibrant community of active adults aged 55 and up who share a love of tennis. Our focus is on enjoying the game—having fun, staying active, and building friendships, both old and new, while celebrating our successes on and off the court.

We’re grateful to our local municipalities for recognizing the many physical, mental, and social benefits of tennis. Thanks to their support, STANS members enjoy outdoor play from April through October at Murdo Frazer Park and Little Cates Park, under our seasonal permits.

During the fall and winter months, we move indoors to the North Vancouver Tennis Centre (NVTC), where league play takes place Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., followed by a friendly coffee social. Indoor play is offered at an additional cost and space is limited.

Each summer, members gather for several social picnics featuring casual, unstructured tennis and light refreshments, including coffee, pastries, and fruit. We also organize tournaments throughout the year, depending on court availability and member participation.

The holiday season brings our much-loved Christmas Social, where we enjoy tennis, food, music, and festive cheer together.

Annual membership is $20 and valid until December 31 of the year of registration. Your STANS membership also includes automatic membership in the North Vancouver Tennis Society (NVTS) and Tennis BC, at no extra cost.
